Features

Design
Governors Row consists of three homes, each featuring three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and an additional room suitable for use as an office, bedroom, or bonus space. The exterior facade of the edifice will showcase the alluring and resilient "Charleston Stucco" meticulously applied to concrete masonry units at the ground level. The upper floors, which can be accessed via private elevators will incorporate the traditional wooden framing, with cementitious lap siding to ensure minimal upkeep. Expansive, impact-resistant aluminum-clad windows and sliding doors will bathe the interiors in an abundance of natural light. The windows will be enhanced by intricate exterior crown moulding and functional shutters. To bestow a touch of traditional Charleston aesthetics, the structure will be crowned by a standing seam metal roof. The main entrance of each residence will be highlighted by a naturally finished mahogany door, artfully recessed within an arched architectural element along the Barre Street frontage.
Ground floor
At the rear of the structure, the homeowner will enter via the shared driveway to access their two-car garage. An elevator will be provided in each home extending from the garage level to the top floor. In addition, a stairway to the upper level and an expansive storage area is accessible from the garage.
First floor
An open floor plan encompassing the kitchen, dining and great room benefits from the expansive glazing, but most significantly on the west side of the structure. This large sliding glass element will provide sunset opportunities over the Ashley River and will lead to the large (7’ x 22’) outdoor covered porch, providing fresh air and natural light.

In the great room, a fireplace will provide warmth and comfort on the cooler days in Charleston. The large kitchen will feature an island area with seating as well as an enclosed pantry. For convenience, a wet bar with beverage cooler and powder room will be located adjacent to the living room and covered porch.
Second floor
This level will include two guest bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a large primary bedroom suite. The primary suite includes a walk-in closet and elaborate bathroom with dual vanities, large shower, soaking tub and a private toilet area. A convenient laundry room is also situated on this level.
Third floor
The uppermost living level will offer two configurations for the homebuyer to select from during the "pre-completion" period.

Option #1: This floor plan consists of an expansive rooftop bedroom suite providing the utmost in privacy and separation. Elevator access and a wet bar will be located just outside the sleeping area. Inside the suite will be a large bathroom and walk-in closet. At the west elevation, sliding glass doors will lead to a large rooftop deck (11’ x 29’) with views of the Ashley River and the nearby Alberta Long Lake. A second rooftop deck will be accessible from the corridor and will provide views to the east, over downtown Charleston.

Option #2: The alternate floor plan at this level emphasizes the use of this area by homeowners and guests, as a Den or Bonus Room. This large space will include a wet bar and elevator access and is envisioned as a “game-day” space with large screen TV’s, billiards or other sources of entertainment. Similar to Option #1, large glass sliding doors open onto an expansive roof deck, providing the opportunity for everyone to enjoy the sunset! A second rooftop deck will provide vistas to the east of the historic steeples of the Holy City.
